Jules Lewis Gibson,
Realtor
The smell of fresh saw dust on a new construction site is like fresh bakes cookies coming out of the oven for me, it reminds me of my childhood. Some of my fondest memories are visiting the job site with my Dad who was a builder and developer in my hometown of Atlanta. Real estate is, as they say, in my blood.
Professionally, I’ve spent the majority of my 25+ year career on the marketing side of the luxury home industry. And personally, I’ve enjoyed building and renovating many homes.
After graduating Tulane University, I began a career in advertising for the home industry. I worked for an international auction house and retail furniture chain before opening a boutique advertising agency specializing in luxury home marketing. Our clients included high-end home furnishing companies, interior designers, galleries, builders and developers across the eastern United States from Boston to Palm Beach.
In 2003, I traded my urban lifestyle for a more relaxed coastal life by moving to the resort community of Destin, Florida. I put my marketing skills to work and began a new career as a realtor. From the very beginning I loved the process of helping my clients find their perfect dream home. Within three years, I sold over $30 million and won several awards.
When my husband and I moved our family to Sarasota in 2011, I threw my hat into a new arena with the purchase of Florida Homes Magazine, a luxury real estate publication for the Southwest Florida region. Over the next eight years, I grew the small publication into a media company, FUSE Media+ with additional titles: Florida Boating Magazine and an award-winning women’s publication, Gravitas Magazine. We also created custom marketing publications for Michael Saunders & Company and Fannie Hillman & Associates of Winter Park as well as the annual visitors guides for the Naples, Marco Island and the Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau.
I’m thrilled to return to real estate today to utilize my experience in media and get back to helping people find their dream home.
In my free time, you can usually find me in my gardens, on a ball field cheering on my sons or floating in the Gulf of Mexico—the perk of living in paradise.
